Tensile structure Bloodmoon, Festival Timeless

At 33° C and overlooking the Colombian Caribbean Sea we arrived at one of the fastest growing festivals in the alternative scene of the country. Timelees, created by the band MNKYBSNSS, had the need to create a large shaded area for attendees to enjoy the event from early hours of the day when the sun is at its highest point. Based on this need, we manufactured a 380 m² membrane with a capacity of up to 700 people; made with large pieces of fabrics that generated multiple shaded areas that helped to reduce the thermal sensation of the place. One of the biggest challenges of this project was to face the strong winds coming from the sea, so we presented the client with a structural study of the behavior of the architectural membrane in these conditions, where its resistance was evidenced in the field without any inconvenience. The colors and shapes of this membrane were inspired by the "Bloodmoon" blood eclipses, an event that took place the same weekend of this festival. #festivaltimeless
